| The old place on a sunny dayOur pad was built in 1936 as a part of the government scheme to resettle out of work miners as small holders, so we live in a 3 bed semi with a bit of land. Some smallholdings are still operating so there are many acres under glass around here, but more than half are used for grazing horses. This is why we moved here and Karen has a horse, two ponies, two goats, three sheep, a small flock of chickens, four dogs, a cat and some guinea pigs to play with.
